This project was for design of structures and tankage to consolidate vehicle fueling operations at the petroleum storage site.
Work included:
- Removal of two 25,000 gallon single wall underground fuel storage tanks and associated piping and pumping equipment
- Site remediation of petroleum contaminated soil
- Design of two 12,000 gallon, double walled above ground fuel storage tanks (one for unleaded gasoline and one for diesel fuel). The tanks are located on a diked concrete slab with a structural steel cover for weather protection
- A 27′ wide by 70′ long diked concrete apron was provided for vehicle loading and fuel truck off-loading stations
- The stations were designed with a 300 gpm pumping capacity
- Underground fuel piping was double walled fiberglass with leak detection monitoring capability
- Extension of utilities and design of an access road were included in the design
