Transit Bus Storage and Washing Facilities  
Centralia, Washington
 Twin Transit is the service public transportation service provider in the Centralia-Chehalis area in western Washington. This project is for the construction of a new 8,000 sf 10-bay bus storage facility and for design of a four-bay bus washing and fueling facility.
Specific project features include:
- Design of an 8,000 sf ten bay transit bus storage facility. The structure is a pre-engineered metal building with metal wall panels and roof, on a reinforced concrete foundation and slab on grade. The facility includes high intensity lighting and power distribution systems.
- Civil site work for extension of utilities, including a sanitary sewer upgrade, storm drainage, and sidewalk extensions for ADA compliance.
- Structural design of foundation, wall, and roof structure.
- Electrical design of primary electrical service from existing overhead power line, interior power and lighting, power for new sanitary sewer station, and exterior lighting with photocell controls.
- Design of a 3,200 sf four bay transit bus washdown and fueling facility. The structure is a pre-engineered metal building with metal wall panels and roof, on a reinforced concrete foundation and slab on grade. The facility includes high intensity lighting and power distribution systems. Mechanical design for installation of plumbing system including toilets, showers, sinks, and clothes washers.
- Mechanical design for installation of heating and ventilation system. System includes exhaust and make-up air for shower areas to maintain acceptable level of humidity. Work also included installation of EMCS for heating and ventilation monitoring, including energy consumption monitoring. EMCS includes sensors, controls, wiring, and hardware points.
- Electrical design for communications (telephone) and Fire Detection and Alarm System consisting of heat detectors, manual pull stations, fire alarm panel, and electronic transmitter.
- 5000 gallon fire rated above ground tank, distribution piping, and fuel dispensers.
